Winter sun and long stays in Albufeira
Winter in the Algarve is mild and often sunny, the beaches are almost empty, and the town goes back to being a Portuguese town. It is the season for a long stay: a month or more somewhere warm, with a kitchen, a balcony and the sea a walk away, for not much more than a single week costs in August.
Our monthly discount
Stay 28 nights or more and almost all our apartments are cheaper by the night: from October to April, each has a monthly discount of up to 50%, depending on the apartment and the time of year.
Some owners spend part of the winter in their own apartments, so which ones are free changes from year to year. Search your dates to see what is available.
There is no code to enter and nothing to ask for: search for your dates and the price you see already has the discount taken off. It is worked out night by night, so a stay that runs on into a month without one still gets it on every night that has it.

Living here for a month
- Heating. Every apartment has heating for the cooler evenings, from November to March above all.
- The pools. The pools are open all year, but they are not heated.
- A clean during your stay. You can add a clean partway through your stay when you book or later in Manage My Booking, one for every 8 nights you stay: a four-week stay can have 3. Each costs €65 for a one-bedroom apartment, €75 for a larger one.
- Everyday life. Supermarkets, a food market and cafés stay open all winter, and Wi-Fi is free in every apartment. Our guide to where to stay says what is near each of our complexes.
Winter days out
Winter is the best time for the walks and drives that are too hot in summer: the cliff paths between the beaches, Monchique and the Foia peak, Tavira and Lagos without the crowds. Our Albufeira guide has the day trips we recommend, and our page on the beaches how far each one is from the apartments.
